The year is 2050 and Ismael, An American, atheist protagonist of this book meets a psychologist Petra in the Grasshopper Bar. He tells her that he is doing a thesis on the truth of hell and paradise. Petra gives him the advice to go to a yoga center, where Ayahuasca drug is given for the inner-cleansing. After taking Ayahuasca he meets a strange old man Chacha Khidr on a bicycle, who told him that an important task is assigned to him.
Still trying to believe what he saw, he went home and finds a potion and a letter which instruct him to take a flight off to Pakistan. Ismael has left this land many years ago. His father Hajji Ibrahim was a strict follower of Islam and Ismael has been brought up with the lure of getting a paradise after death. However, Ismael didn’t find all these impressive and certain things happen at that time which makes him leave that country forever.
So Ismael made his journey to Pakistan, which is now under the caliphate of Al-Bakistan under the rule of Khalifa. The spiritual cleansing is happening and many regions are forcefully going under the Al-Bakistan. Those who tried to protest are executed.

The language of this book is very good; the author has a unique writing style with a mix of satire. The whole book is written from the first person’s POV. The narration is simply amazing and there is not a single dull moment in the book.
I have never read any dystopian novel before thus the concept of this book was totally new to me. This book starts on a very interesting note which makes you flip the pages. The writing is very strong and you will never felt that it is written by a debut author. The book has some practical satire which is wisely put by the author. The author has taken a novel concept and the way he weaved it throughout the story is totally amazing.
