Halo Reads Monthly Wrap up

Monthly Wrap up | August 2017

Tags:

Hello friends,

Finally, I am doing a monthly wrap up post. 🙂 I wanted to do it from a long time, but it always gets sidelined. The person whose post inspired me to do this wrap-up post is Simant Verma from flippingthruthepages.com she is an awesome book blogger you all should definitely check her blog. 😀

For me monthly wrap-up is an essential post which helps me evaluate my month at a glance and it is also a great way to record reading progress. I hope you all will enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed writing it.

August is my birthday month, so my favorite. 😀 I have celebrated my 24th birthday this month and managed to complete my Goodreads reading challenge of 60 books. 🙂 This is the first time, I read 13 books in the month. Quite a miracle, I guess 😛 And finally, I changed the header of my blog and owned a logo. Did you like it? Kindly mention in the comment section. 😀

By me:

By Pooja:

“Criticism only brings out the fighter in me.” – Unbreakable: An autobiography by M.C. Mary Kom

♥ Do not take your health lightly, finally, I learned that ‘Health is Wealth’.

♥ Save money, there comes a time when you need money but don’t have any so start saving.

This month I created and followed a bookish goal to include diversity in reading.

Autobiography can be interesting too

I have not read many autobiographies, the last among this was My experiments with truth by Mahatma Gandhi, which was okay but was a dry read. While reading the biography of Mary Kom, I found that it can be interesting. I literally glued to this book until I finished it.

It would be ‘The Blue Umbrella by Ruskin Bond’. This book left a question in my heart that Is a worldly thing more important or the relations?

Silence the court is in session by Vijay Tendulkar – Book review

Indigo by Satyajit Ray – Book review

Interview of Anuja Chandramouli, The author of ‘Yama’s Lieutenant and the stone witch’

♥ To get a full-time job, I am trying hard hopefully I am able to get one soon.

♥ Increase my reading speed so that I can read more books. 😛

♥ Drive more traffic to my blog and write more bookish posts.

Thank you so much for reading 🙂 How did you find this post? How was your month? Which is the best book you have read this month? What are your goals for next month? Kindly let us know, we would love to hear from you. ♥

You hardly come across with the thriller book which is based in the corporate world. The cover and the title of this book is an instant catch. As I have not read much of the corporate-based books, I was not sure to like this book. However, when I start reading this book, I found it truly amazing. I would like to congratulate the author for his debut book as well as would like to show my gratitude for giving me a chance to read and review it. 😊
