Shekhar Kapoor is a successful businessman who has never done a decent thing in his entire life. For him it is all about what he can get and how fast he can get it. He goes through life cheating and insulting people, even after he receives a mysterious telephone call from what is called the City of Justice. Ignoring the cryptic warnings, Shekhar continues to live his life as he pleases, until one day, shortly after insulting a beggar in the street, Shekhar crashes his car and is killed. And it is only when he is standing before the Bookkeeper, and being shown where his life had gone wrong, that Shekhar finally understands what life is all about. But is it too late for him? Can he be given another chance, to undo all the wrongs he has done? Or is there a chance that Shekhar Kapoor can find redemption where there had previously been no hope?.

Introduction:

We often make decision in our life without thinking its pros and cons. From these some of the decisions are spontaneous and some are made by our nature and ego. We hardly ever get a chance to reform it, but even if we get a chance then how we amend our mistakes /decisions is something worth to think. This book revolves around the same scenario. I have received this book from the author so at first, I would like thank and congratulate him. 🙂

Plot summary:

The protagonist of this book is rich, egoistic and spoilt Shekhar Kapoor. He is the owner of renowned company Aerowalk and makes billions. But his behavior is totally rude with the people who are around him.

Being a sole child of the rich parents, he is rude and pessimistic since a childhood. His parents tried their best to amend his behavior but with the time and death of his mother, he becomes more negative. He thinks his father is responsible for his mother’s death.

Shekhar spends sleepless nights and his days went by without a smile. He has demoted a senior person of the company; he has not promoted a girl who is working in his company for years. He has not talked to his father since 10 years. He thinks poor people are the stain and they should die. He finds it ridiculous when someone helps anybody. In short, he is the man who thinks he is the superior and gives priority to his ego and negative attitude.

One day he receives a mysterious call warning him to stop his wrongdoing but he totally ignored it. Then something unreal happens and the billionaire Shekhar Kapoor dies. In a total surprise, he visits the court of justice where a bookkeeper weighed down his good and bad karmas.

He is convicted to various punishments, however, something strange happens after which makes him change his way of living. Do read this book to know how Shekhar utilizes his second chance.

Writing style:

The story moves swiftly with easy language. The narration is totally beautiful and makes you finish this book in two sittings.

My perception:

I simply loved this story. This book gives a lesson which we tend to forget in this busy life. Though you are a billionaire, you can’t take your money with you. The only thing which goes with you is love and good karma. So start investing in these rather than money. Through the eyes of Shekhar, the author has tried to show the today’s people who are busy to nurture negativity. With this, the author has also represented that we always get second chance to amend our wrongdoing and it is totally up to us, how we utilize this. This book is a pleasant reading and I totally love the way author has interlinked the various characters. Overall a perfect read, the only area of improvement is the book cover.  You should read this book to allow some positivity in your life.

You hardly come across with the thriller book which is based in the corporate world. The cover and the title of this book is an instant catch. As I have not read much of the corporate-based books, I was not sure to like this book. However, when I start reading this book, I found it truly amazing. I would like to congratulate the author for his debut book as well as would like to show my gratitude for giving me a chance to read and review it. 😊
